Perhaps like Jehoshaphat you’re in circumstances that made you fearful. Feared for the future or to lag behind solitary, to die, become bankrupt. Perhaps you are frightened that you won’t come from your difficulties. What kind of situation you’re in, the question is: Who is your advisor? Yes, ask God to help you with your problems and fears. Act like Jehoshaphat! The Bible says: “Jehoshaphat feared and set himself to seek God’s advice.” He decided to ask the Living God to help him. And this is the assurance which we have in Him: God, I have confidence that if I ask anything in Your name, according to Your will and in agreement with Your plan that You listen and You hear me. In verse 3 we read:” He (Jehoshaphat) proclaimed a fast in all Judah, and Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord.” Praise the Lord! Jehoshaphat sought its resource to God rather than to people. His situation was humanly hopeless. Because he prayed:”For we have no might to stand against this great company that is coming against us.” Perhaps you are like Jehoshaphat in the same situation and can’t see a solution. Maybe you also say: We don’t know what to do anymore.” But who is your advisor? To whom you run to? Jehoshaphat went to God and prayed: “Our eyes are upon You.” His fear disappeared, because he trusts God. As he prayed the Bible says: “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon the municipal…. And he says: Hearken, all Judah, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat (also to you, who are listening to our program), be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Take your position, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord. Fear not nor be dismayed, the Lord is with you.”
Yes, while he and the others are in prayer, the Holy Spirit came with an answer. How fantastic! Out of mercy we have the best book that’s inspired by the Holy Spirit and where we can find all answers. The Book is called the Bible!
God says in the Bible to you: “Call to Me and I shall answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you don’t know … and I shall your fate to be reversed”, Jeremiah 33.
If you accept God as your councilor into your life, He’ll speak to you while you are praying, through the Bible, this radio-program or in any other way.
God rich blessing wished. Amen!
