Oh, the chains of addiction are stuck, that you can’t deliver yourself. You feel you can’t live without, or something you feel driven to do in order to relieve pressure, pain or discomfort of some kind. You have to smoke, you have to drink, you need a “fix”, you have to, have to … why? Because there is no other way. You are addicted! You are a slave. And … the worst part also is, the substance that you are addicted to helps relieve your pain momentary, but then damaging controlling cycle starts in your life. Whatever we are addicted to we are controlled by, and as a result, our addiction affects and influences many other areas of our lives.
I know you are unhappy and frustrated. On the contrary! You are very solitary and deeply unfortunate. You feel like sinking into the darkness. Your path of life leads to death … Even if you walk in freedom, you don’t feel inner peace. Yes, you feel as you’re tied on chains. The big question you ask yourself is: Is there hope? Listen to my speech! There is hope! There is a come out. Be courage, because there is hope for the hopeless. What do I hear between the jingling of your chains? What do I hear as it were among your hopeless situation? Whose voice do I hear there? Oh, the chains drowned everything.
Besides the loud sound, I hear something else. I hear the voice of a very special man. He loves you deeply. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. Oh, I see Him hanging to a rough wooden cross at Golgotha. He wears a thorn crown. His Hands and feet transpierced with wrought iron nails. His blood flows out of the many wounds. Yes, two thousand years ago, He did this for you. Why? What did he call? Oh, it’s as I hear Him again. He cried out:” It’s accomplished!” What’s accomplished? He has paid the price for all our sins and addictions. He sacrificed His Life. He paid our debts with His Life. He died for our sins and rose from the death. Because of His resurrection you can live in joy and happiness. He died to the cross for our freedom. And now? He desires us to believe in Him and accept His sacrifice as a means of payment.
He stands with open arms for you.
Don’t let Him wait in vain, but call on Him and ask His help. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened and I will cause you to rest. (I will ease and relieve and “refresh” your souls). Mathews 11:28. Yes, Jesus Christ is the only one who can release you too. But you have to make a decision. Don’t hesitate no longer, but make a decision between the addiction that leads to death or Christ, who wants to give you eternal life.
The choice is yours. Pick out the best and choose Christ.
My dear friends kneel down somewhere, pray with me the sinners-pray and receive God’s mercy:
“Oh, Lord Jesus, I come to You with all my heart. I have faith in this powerful message of release. And I repent my sins; have mercy with me and save my soul. That I might be forgiven and cleansed by Your blood. Right now I confess that You are My Savior and Redeemer and thank you for adopting me as Your child. Thank You for paying the price for all my sins en lack of freedom. Amen!”
If you have prayed with all your heart, believe right now you are His child and that He forgives all your sins. If possible: Thank, praise and worship Him for everything He’s done and will do for you. To receive forgiveness- Belief that He wants to save you- Worship Him- Tell Him about your problems. He will ease and relieve you- Fear not for backsliding- Belief that your sins are forgiven- Read the Bible, belief the Word and obey Him.
I wish you God’s rich blessing Amen.
